Submissions
Write for Muststashyo 
Muststashyo welcomes many forms of both fiction and non-fiction with a focus on narrative and emotion. We are looking for stories, essays, your experiences, written down. Eventually Muststashyo will be planned as a series with themes however for now you may use the following themes to inspire some writing:
- Moustaches
- Yarn
- Art (of all kinds)
- Craft
- Modern Living
- Humour
These are very loose theme suggestions right now but they definitely fall in line with the direction that we are trying to take with this podcast. So, don’t be afraid to send something to us. You can send us your submission at things@muststashyo.com. Please include WRITTEN SUBMISSION in the title of your email and include the text portion of your submission in text format in an email, rather than as a file that has been attached separately.
Reading and Recording for Muststashyo
If you feel you have a voice for reading aloud – we are interested. We are currently looking for volunteers to act as readers and/or recorders for Muststashyo. This may be your own work, or someone else’s. If you would like to send us a voice submission you may. We ask that you record in mono, 441000Hz, with a 32 bit float (or the highest quality possible – this will be the decision is your content or your voice can be used on the podcast) . Please export the file as an MP3, at 128kbps, and attach the file to an email explaining your submission with the word ‘RECORDED SUBMISSION’ in the subject line.
You may use the below text from Edgar Allan Poe’s The Raven for a voice submission, but you may also use your own text.
The Submission Process
Once you feel you have an idea for the kind of podcast that we are recording, and you decide you want to contribute – get in touch! We will do our best to answer all inquiries and submissions within 7 business days (Mon-Fri). If you do not hear from us within 3 weeks, you may assume that we will not be able to use your content.
Copyright
You, as creator of the original work, will retain all copyrights to the work. Accepted work will be distributed via the podcast, or published on the website or both, and will remain so in perpetuity. For all submission approvals, the creator will be notified of final approval prior to distribution. At this time, no compensation for your work will be provided by Muststashyo. Your work will not be shared by Muststashyo for purposes other than the Muststashyo podcast and related online materials.
Moustaches – Photos, Stories, and Other Clippings
Do you want to share a picture of your awesome handlebar moustache with us to be featured on the blog? Do you have a great story about something artsy you are doing, how you have too much yarn and you want to give us some? Do you have a creepy story about something that happened to you invoving a moustache? Email us and tell us all about it! Girls – get creative – craft your own moustaches, and send in some girly moustache shots!
Provide Music for Muststashyo
Are you a performer or in a band? We love indie music of all kinds and would love to hear from you. If you would like to offer up some of your music for our show we would need it to be sent via email to us. Please send your track in mp3 format and include in the title of your email the words MUSIC SUBMISSION as well as your written permission, as the creator/owner of the track, for Muststashyo’s use of your music submission.
